Recently, I was contacted by Shauli Zacks from SafetyDetectives because they wanted to interview me for an article in their blog.

As readers of my blog know, I’m a passionate WordPress security expert who has been hardening and unhacking websites for the last decade or so. Unfortunately, WordPress out of the box has a lot of security holes that hackers exploit to break in and do damage.

Shauli wanted to understand more about what I do, how I keep the bad guys and gals out, and why businesses should be concerned about this. Since WordPress powers 43% of the world’s websites and at least 90% of all hacks happen on WordPress, it should be a concern for all businesses that use the platform. It’s not a matter of if – but when – a business will get hacked. This can cost the business in reputation, lost business, lost revenue, and of course, in the wallet to fix it.

Shauli asked several pointed questions about what I do and what my processes are to harden my clients’ websites.
