It’s a deep-dive into the strategies, tactics and techniques that anyone who wants to know exactly how the search engines operate and how to get listed above the competition.
Search engine optimization is so much more than doing “SEO”. There are actually many ways of getting listed, and the play book changes with new tools and new techniques as Google adjusts the rules.
Some of the topics that we cover in our workshop include:
- Keyword research and keyword forensics
- Applying search engine optimization to content in six easy steps
- Robots.txt and XML sitemaps
- Video and mobile SEO
- Paid placement strategies (i.e. pay per click or PPC)
- Personalization of search
- A full day of Google tools including:
- Analytics
- Webmaster Tools
- Authorship
- Google+
- And much more
- Information architecture
- Schema.org
Practice On Your Own Website
During class, participants are encouraged to bring a laptop and a website to practice the techniques in class, getting feedback from the instructor. This can be their own website or a client’s (with their permission of course).
By practicing in a real-world scenario, on a live website, each student learns the techniques by doing. Getting live feedback on the spot helps cement it in place so the student doesn’t waste time going down the wrong path.
Each student has the opportunity to bring their website in front of the classroom for feedback on the design and functional elements such as calls-to-action, as well as their SEO efforts.
The class is limited to 15 students. We keep them small so each person has personalized attention.
Register now before the class fills up by going to the SEO Class Registration webpage. [Registration is closed.]
Be sure to watch the video of two students we had earlier this year. You’ll hear about what they hoped to learn at the beginning of the week, and what they thought of the class on the last day.
Thomas was kind enough to review one of my websites on one of his paid webinar series, and the feedback was huge and he pointed out things I had either missed or that I should consider. I made all of those changes. Can’t wait for more classes.
Thanks, Christopher. Stay tuned, they are coming!
